CMS Lite
| What is it? How does it work? |
CMS Lite is a complete set of
computer equipment, programs, manuals and support allowing dry-cleaning laundries to
realize the benefits of a proven computer system. When you receive the equipment,
plug it in, turn it on, and you will automatically be placed at a pictorial menu of system
options. Included with your system are DOS programs for normal office functions like a
rolodex, spreadsheet, and word processing. However, the heart of your new system is
Counter Management. Just click on the CMS picture to display the
menu of programs available. Once the simple definition forms have been completed, you will
build your data files and be on your way. There is a simple daily cycle to be followed.
These tasks create invoices, post cash, and create reports necessary to balance the day's
work. A short monthly and yearly cycle are also performed. All other selections are
optional, but very useful. These report selections assist company personnel in directing
the business, collecting money, and responding to customer inquiries. You receive all of
this for less than one half of one clerk's annual salary.

Can the software be purchased separately?
No. This was considered; but, retrofitting the system into various models of machines
costs more than new equipment. The secret to this price is volume purchasing and efficient
setup.
What happens if we outgrow CMS in the future?
You can't. Each system is built on Novell's new NetWare Lite networking system. You can
install many counter stations at each facility. Each facility can be linked to the main
office over the telephone lines with a modem.
What happens if a problem develops?
The software agreement you will sign provides for 24 hour phone support. One of your
experienced support analysts is always available.
Can other DOS applications be run on the system?
You should be able to with no problem. DataTeam has done nothing
proprietary to the system. However, normal DOS and Novell rules must be followed. We
suggest not introducing new applications for the first two months.

DataTeam requires each system have a
modem and fax machine connected to a phone line for customer support. The DataTeam
software support fee for single user systems is $80 per month. The fee for Novell Lite
systems is $120 per month. The agreement provides for unlimited non-training technical
phone support.

To order your DataTeam CMS
system just call our convenient 800 number with the following information available:
(Legal name and address of the company, name of person empowered to sign the contract,
size of the company, and configuration desired). A contract and system definition form
will be sent to you. Fill in the form, sign the contract, and return them to DataTeam
along with a check for the required $3,000 deposit. Upon receipt DataTeam
will return a signed copy of the contract and prepare your system.
You may choose to have the system delivered to you C.O.D.
or you may select to receive your system at the training session full payment will be
required when you arrive. In this case you will actually train on your system during
class. Classes are held on Monday to allow an enjoyable weekend in South Florida and to
make discount airfares available. We will be happy to assist with lodging
reservations.
