The "Customer's Location Automated Soil
System" is a combination of software, hand-held computer, bar code
scanner and printer which is used by routemen to capture customer
signatures, count soiled items in the field and create
a hardcopy receipt for the customer. Items are scanned in the customer's location for
soil, quits, holds, and other special functions such as mending, exchanges, and general
comments which need to be reported. The driver's in and out time are also acquired for
later analysis. The customer receipt can be either totaled by item or by individual and
item.
When integrated into DataTeam's Route Accounting the
system grows in power. All counts, miscellaneous transactions and notes are automatically
downloaded to the main computer for inclusion on subsequent production reports, invoices,
an management reports.
If in plant out counts are processed the system becomes a
tight loop which matches soil to clean, reports exceptions, and validates load sequences
before they are tied for the truck. Each additional degree of automation can be added when
you are ready!

The benefits to be realized by automated field counting
integrated into a computerized route accounting system are considerable. First, the
typical data entry transcription errors totally disappear - because there is no more data
entry. As a result, clerical labor is reduced. Furthermore, lost soil count tickets will
be a frustration of the past. This all leads to greatly increased accuracy for you and
your customers. In addition the customer's signature is electronically
obtained as part of invoice settlement while on location. All of this
information is downloaded and stored as long as you want to keep it
inside of the main route accounting system.
Production control will increase. Underwash will become an
accurate and budgetable figure with the trend analysis reports available. Uncharged losses
and theft will decline from the tracking of all inventory and its current location.
Customer's satisfaction will increase with an auditable
receipt being with each pickup. This same receipt can be used to settle disputes which
arise on the next delivery. Some larger companies are even willing to pay more for this
service.
Management will gain an increased control over drivers.
The system automatically records start and stop times for each location. Trend reports
from the system show any changes in a driver's daily routine.
The C.L.A.S.S. driver's kit
interfaces with and stores its information inside of DataTeam's route
accounting system. As a function of this interface, signatures can be
imbedded in invoice reprints, web inquiries into archived invoices and
online faxed copies of invoices.
The DataTeam Route Accounting System comes ready to
create bar coded garment and/or linen labels. A variety of layouts and content are
available to fit your requirements.
DataTeam also offers stand alone P.C. based label
creation systems for those who already have computer route accounting systems. |
